Service Description

The comprehensive assessment provides a clear picture of your child’s reading and spelling skills, phonological knowledge and any gaps in their learning. The assessment includes standardised reading and spelling tests, allowing results to be compared with age-appropriate expectations and providing valuable information to guide teaching and intervention. All students complete an assessment prior to commencing tuition. This ensures that the program is a good fit for your child and allows teaching to be specifically tailored to their individual needs. Assessments are also available as a stand-alone service and do not require families to continue with tuition. Following the assessment, families will receive informal feedback, along with a written report containing an analysis of the results and recommendations to support your child’s ongoing reading and spelling development.
